ticket to work program
If you have already approved for disability from Social Security and currently receiving monthly cash benefits, you are eligible for Social Security's Ticket To Work program. Ticket To Work is part of your disability benefits package, along with monthly cash benefits and health insurance benefits through Medicaid or Medicare. Employment Network (EN) services help you explore the possibility of doing some kind of gainful work again (or maybe for the first time). Social Security built important protections into participating in an EN program. The most basic requirement is to be willing to explore work options and try to work within your abilities. Your benefits are protected while you try work and you are not "on your own."

job SEARCH COACHING
Finding the employment that is right for you is a process. You need to know what you can do, what your skills are, how to present your skills in a resume or applications, how to communicate successfully in job interviews, what jobs are available in your area, what kind of pay you can expect, and how the local job market in affected by the economic climate. If you have a disability, that process has some important additional steps: effects from your disability on your physical abilities, mental abilities; whether pain or any medications may make it difficult to concentrate, remember, and learn new duties. Our employment specialists address all of these elements. We are not an employment agency. Such agencies are not equipped to address how disability will actually effect your job options or performance. We charge no fees to you or your new employer.
job accommodations consulting
Our organization provides employment support services to help you deal with any problems that may occur on-the-job. Sometimes there are questions about job accommodations for your disability. Sometimes you have a supervisor or coworker who is pressuring you to do job duties that are really beyond what you can or should handle. Sometimes the employer's human resources department has no idea how to understand the difference between their own policies and federal laws on disability (ADAA) which take precedence over their company policy. Trying to address these concerns without any help can be intimidating. We are here to help. Most employers welcome the help - and all of our clients do.
work incentives counseling
When you receive Social Security disability benefits, you are generally going to be considered low income. It's difficult to live on low income especially if others are depending on you. The amount of benefits you receive from Social Security only goes up when the government approves cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) which are small, few and far between. The good news is that Social Security allows you to try working while you keep your benefits for a period of time. You also get to keep your health care coverage while working. You may have heard "on the street" that working while on Social Security is not allowed or will cause you to lose cash benefits automatically. This is not true, even if you heard this from some a source you trust like a family member, friend or neighbor. Contact us for a free advisory session to see if you qualify.
live sessions online
The internet, software, and technology are so pervasive that we can’t remember having ever lived without them. They make our lives simpler. We use live web events to present our information sessions so that your experience is working with real people live and not simply watching YouTube videos or reading handouts. We encourage you to participate by joining the live sessions, asking questions, hearing about current developments, suggestions that others in the program have used successfully, as well as answering all of your questions right when you have them. We conduct individual sessions with you by phone or video sessions sessions using our online video service. You get "face to face" service without leaving your home. Our commitment is to you having the information, coaching and communication skills to make your financial goals your financial reality.
